Patronal Feast of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception: A Week of Faith and Marian Reflection.

Patronal Feast of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception: A Week of Faith and Marian Reflection.

From November 29 to December 8, the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception celebrated its patronal feast within the scholasticate, in an atmosphere of spiritual fervor, doctrinal formation, and deepening of Marian devotion. Held under the sign of the Virgin Mary, this significant time brought together religious and faithful around several rich and varied teachings.

Each day, a theme was presented by a member of the Congregation, illustrating the depth of the Marian mystery and its role in Christian life:

  • Fr. Appolinaire opened the week by highlighting the maternal presence of Mary in the Congregation, emphasizing how the Virgin accompanies and protects the spiritual sons dedicated to her.
  • Fr. Denis delved into the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, the very heart of the Congregation’s spirituality.
  • Fr. Sylvain highlighted the virtues of the Virgin Mary, the perfect model of faith, obedience, and purity.
  • Fr. Renaud addressed the Wedding at Cana, revealing Mary as the mediator of grace.
  • Fr. Kolbert presented Mary in the history of salvation, recalling her unique role in the divine plan.
  • Fr. Médard spoke about Mary, Mother of God, a fundamental title affirmed since the early centuries of the Church.
  • Fr. John meditated on Mary, full of grace, wholly open to the will of God.
  • Fr. Emmanuel taught about the role of the Virgin Mary in the lives of Christians, emphasizing the imitation of her virtues daily.
  • Finally, Fr. Gabriel concluded with the Visitation as a paradigm of a life of service and humility

The week concluded with a solemn Mass and the renewal of vows on Sunday, December 8th at 11 a.m., on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a highlight of this spiritual event.

This celebration allowed everyone to refocus on what truly matters: living in Mary’s school, in humility, faith, and self-giving. An initiative that testifies to the vitality of the Congregation and its attachment to its heavenly patroness.
